Hanson’s Funeral Home has been serving Davidson and surrounding communities since 1952. LaRene Hanson and her husband Hank purchased the business from Burton Lytle, who had operated in Davidson for many years. LaRene was one of the first women licensed as a funeral director in Saskatchewan. LaRene and Hank’s son Brian then went on to take over the business in 1978. Under Brian’s care the business continued to grow. Brian then sought help for the business and his nephew Todd Lockwood began working at the funeral home part time in 2003. Todd enjoyed the business and went on to be licensed and purchased the funeral home in 2014. Hanson’s Funeral Home continues to build on its family roots, staying a family operated business in it’s third generation. Hanson’s is proud to have been able to serve Davidson and area for nearly 70 years!
